Walsoken
Walsoken Parish comprises an area of approximately 4.85 square miles (12.57 square kilometres), encompassing approximately 700 households plus a variety of local and national industries, including farming, fruit growing, garages, a transport depot, a retail park, and Wisbech Town Football ground. In the 2011 census, Walsoken Parish had a population of 1,489, a slight rise from the 1,484 recorded in 2001 . Results for the 2021 census will be added when they become available.
The Parish Council
The Parish Council is made up of a maximum of 10 councillors who meet eight times a year, on a Tuesday at 7 pm, to discuss village matters. The Parish Council is also responsible for some churchyard maintenance.
Standing agenda items include payments, planning, street lighting, and Highways plus various additional relevant topics. Agendas are available via the Agendas and Minutes for Meetings page and are displayed on the Parish Council notice board, in the grounds of All Saints’ Church, no fewer than three clear days before the meeting. Following the meeting, the Agenda is replaced by the relevant Minutes, initially in draft form and, subsequently, by those approved at the next meeting.
